Tallahassee-based Infinity Software Development has counted most state organizations in Florida among its clients since its 1994 startup, but one of its biggest awards came recently when it won a nearly $24-million contract from the Department of Education. The contract will mean 30 more jobs at Infinity, which now employs 100, says President Jon Taylor. The deal calls for Infinity to develop a web-based system to help K-12 teachers and students master new federally proscribed teaching standards. "The project is a great blend of technology, content, creative work, analysis and customer service,'' says Taylor.
